A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies search results. The directory's own servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If a visitor contacts us, the message content is used to respond to that inquiry.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create ordinary logs, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Those details are considered in aggregate for reliability and usage analysis. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Technical information helps operate the directory, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. Visitor lists are not sold, and the directory does not build individual visitor profiles.
External Sites and Search Providers
The directory links to County and State record portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. The privacy terms of those services control information submitted to them. Sponsored search results are also supplied by an outside provider.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the directory can process technical logs on its behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure otherwise occurs only when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
The directory uses an encrypted connection, and technical logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. It has no visitor accounts, passwords, or account profiles to maintain.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if a minor may have submitted information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Options
Oregon Consumer Privacy Act provisions at ORS 646A.570–.589 may provide qualifying consumers rights involving personal data held by covered controllers. Because this directory retains little information, an inquiry normally concerns the contact mailbox or technical logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by Oregon, Multnomah County, or Gresham remain under the control of their respective custodians, so a correction or removal request must go to that office.

Changes to this policy will be posted here. Continued use after a posted change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
